OPod Tube Housing is an on-going experimental, low cost, micro living housing unit project I worked on to ease Hong Kong's housing problems during my work experiences at James Law Cybertecture.
This housing unit is created using 2.5m concrete water pipes, the design utilises the strong concrete circular structure of the tube to house a micro living apartment of 15m2 (approx 160sq.ft) for a maximum of two with a fully kitted out living, cooking and bathroom spaces inside. The OPod can be stacked to become a low rise building and a modular community in a short time, and can also be located/relocated to different sites in the city easily.

Interiors of the first modular OPod prototype when I visited it in 2017. Used PLA to 3D print OPod prototypes.

Digital photomontage of OPods built in-between buildings in Sheung Wan, HKSAR.
The photo was taken outside Western Market and overlaid the stacked OPod rendering above.
Digital photomontage of OPods built on top of the Central Pier in Hong Kong. The proposal was aimed to be adaptive and be stacked anywhere.
